We went to Jo's house a few weeks ago (she had her baby Kalea a couple weeks ago!) they had a little bbq after her shower. We saw Julie and some of the other girls from UOP. Aaron likened it to throwing food out to a pond full of fish.. they all just kinda came sarwming toward the baby. Kaila was pretty good.. she went to all of them, and even extended her arms out to a few of them (as she does now.. even to complete strangers as we stand in line in stores).
A couple of Jo's friends have kids, and Kaila interacted with them a little.. she gave a couple hugs, and one of the older girls was doting on Kaila a little. One of her friends has a ten month old, which was then one month younger than Kaila. We were talking to one of the uncles about the kinds of things Kaila was doing developmentally, a few of them being starting to walk, and saying a few words. The uncle jokingly cautioned us not to tell the ten month old's parents, as he hadn't started to do any of that yet. We only saw him for a short time, but he just seemed like a tiny baby compared to Kaila and there was only a month difference in their age. Child development becomes such a touchy subject when children around the same age aren't developing at the same rate.. it makes me proud when Kaila does things so early/quickly, but it is sad that she's growing up so fast.

it was so cute.. she actually walked up to and hugged one of jo's friends babies (this girl is around a year and a half old)
