According to the blog, she was 29 inches in length the last two visits, so I must have recorded that wrong. There's no way she didn't grow in three months and then grew 4 inches. hehe

This was another good appointment for Kaila. When Dr. Upton walked into the room and sat down to open up his laptop, Kaila walked over to him and put her hands up so he would pick her up. He commented on how social and friendly she is, and asked if she likes laptops. We told him that she loves electronics. He asked how many words she's saying now, and Aaron started naming some of them off, and I said probably 20.. maybe 30? Dr. Upton seemed surprised and said that babies her age usually say around two or three words. Kaila seems like she's around an 18 month level. Aaron had a hard time believing Kaila's actually saying 20 words, so when we got home I started compiling a list of her words to see how many words she's actually saying, and it was like 24 or something like that. She got three shots in her legs and two finger pricks. One of the finger pricks she had to squeeze so much blood out of Kaila's finger she started crying. The first one wasn't bad. Her iron and hemoglobin levels turned out to be normal. Because Kaila's growing and developing normally, Dr. said that he didn't have to see Kaila again until she's two years old. Geez, seems so far away!
She's getting so big! So glad she is so healthy!
