Kaila just took a plastic toy tomato to bed with her. We bought a toy shopping cart that came with a few fruits and veggies as her birthday present from grandma and grandpa since they sent money. This is the first time she's really been excited about a toy for longer than a few fleeting minutes, so four months after the fact she finally gets her 2nd birthday gifts.
Anyways, when bed time rolled around, Kaila said "no, I wanna play my tomato.." like she had been the entire evening. So, daddy asked if she wanted to take her tomato to bed with her and she said yeah. So yeah, bed time companions this evening: blankie, Rapunzel doll, tomato. Just the essentials.
