Aaron and I are in this together.. it's like our own little secret. It's weird keeping such exciting news a secret, though. I really can't wait until we can tell everyone we have a little one on the way! (Well, as "little" a one Aaron and I could produce..)
Pregnancy hasn't been too bad so far. I have stomach cramping everyday, usually at least once around 8pm. Other than that, not much except I'm more tired.
We had our first pre-OBGYN appointment. The OB requires that we see our PCP to get a positive blood test before we can make an appointment with an OB. My doctor is next door to my pharmacy, so the staff knows us. We told them they have to keep it on the DL. My own Dr, Dr. Allen apparently doesn't know who I am, though. I asked him what the benefit of taking a full 1mg of folic acid (available only by prescription) was, as opposed to the 800mcg of folic acid I have in my OTC prenatal vitamin. He mumbled something about a copay and said I should ASK MY PHARMACIST. Aaron and I did all we could to keep from busting out laughing in his face.
Aaron says that so far, I've had 4 positive pregnancy tests:
1. OTC First Response positive pee test
2. All my co-workers got their periods, and I did not
3. Positive urine test at Dr.'s office
4. Positive blood test
We're just waiting for the ultrasound at my first OB appointment in 2 weeks...
