Eight Weeks

This is entry #100*!  Wow, 100 entries, and almost a year since I started this blog.  Who knew I'd keep up with it for so long?  Go me.

*edit: it's #100, not 101 like I posted earlier.  Even more exciting!

My little baby is two months old this week!  More growing, more smiling, getting stronger, more talking.. if it's possible, I love her more everyday, too.  She's starting to outgrow her newborn clothes.  It may be time to remove them from her drawer of wearable clothes.  I put on a couple of her nb shirts over the past few days, and they end up riding up over her big opu so she looks like a fatty in a crop top.  It's really cute, though.  There's nothing like a squishy baby in your arms.. resting her head against your chin.. especially when it's your own baby!  I could just stare at her for hours.  I'm going to be so sad when I have to go back to work.  We decided to let Aaron stay home with her.  After looking at daycares and weighing our options, it just seems like the right thing to do.  He'll just need to bring her to visit mommy at work a lot so I don't get depressed at work.

Tried Huggies Little Snugglers this past week... not the best experience.  Her pee seemed to seep through the diaper.  Not out the sides, through the actual diaper.  Also, her crap creeped out the sides on more than one occasion, which is not fun to try to clean at 4 in the morning.  Needless to say, Huggies Little Snugglers cannot contain the force of our little snuggler's excretions.  We're back to Pampers Swaddlers with DryMax for now (love them!), but still have a bunch of other diapers I bought to try out.  Hmm.  Maybe that was a mistake.

I was telling Aaron that I haven't slept through the night since she was born, so he said he'd give me a break this weekend.  It didn't happen Friday, but on Saturday she started crying and I woke him up at about 2:15am (so I guess technically it was Sunday) which was good, because that was about 5 hours since the last time we fed her.  I think I managed to fall back asleep, but I woke up again to her crying at the top of her lungs at 3-something, which is unusual for her.  I went to check on them to see if everything was ok, and Aaron (with much frustration in his voice) told me to just go back to bed.  I kind of whimpered and walked back to bed.  She was being really fussy and I could still hear her crying while lying in bed, so I couldn't sleep.  Eventually, Aaron came back into the room and put her down and she started crying another couple times before falling back to sleep for good.  Rough first experience for dad waking up in the middle of the night (since he's been back to work).  I felt bad for Aaron, so I ended up doing the rest of the feedings til morning.  So, mom still hasn't gotten to sleep through the night

I thought there wouldn't be very many pictures to post this week, but I guess I took a lot more than I remember taking.
