I've been wanting to rate the diapers Kaila has tried so far. I bought a pretty wide variety before she was born so that we could try different ones and pick which ones we liked best. After trying all kinds, I've realized that there isn't really that big of a difference between them. In any case, here's the list:
#7: Huggies Little Snugglers
I initially bought these because of the name. Little snugglers, how cute is that? To my dismay, these were the worst diapers she tried. I was crapped on twice and pee was dribbling out onto me on a few occasions during the time span of using ONE pack. That translates to about a week's worth of diapers. Not cool. These are probably the only diapers I woudn't recommend. Also, they have Pooh on them, and Pooh's kinda played out.
#6: CVS brand Supreme diapers
These weren't as bad as I thought they'd be. You could feel the moistness in the diaper, but Kaila didn't seem to mind them. The design was brightly colored and covered with animals. Nothing super special, but inexpensive and does the job.
#5 Target brand Up & Up diapers
These were on the diaper cake Ann and Lei made for my shower. Kaila only used them when she was first born for the first week she was alive. They were similar to the CVS diapers- they were an inexpensive store brand and did the job.
#4 Huggies Snug and Dry diapers
Not to be confused with Huggies Little Snugglers. These are pretty good diapers. They're cushiony and absorbant. They have a cute Mickey and Minnie design. Some of them only have Mickey, but none of them only have Minnie. I guess Mickey is unisex, but Minnie is just way too feminine to be on a boy's butt. They're good diapers, not much bad to say about them, nothing outstanding either. They're just not as good as my top choice.
#3 Costco brand Kirkland Signature Supreme diapers
Aunty Becky got Kaila a huge Costco box of diapers for the shower. The smallest size Costco makes is 1-2, so we waited a while before we started using them. Kaila is using these now, and they're pretty good. Again an inexpensive store brand, probably the cheapest of all which gives it a higher rating than the others. It has a monkey design which is kinda cute.

Aaron likes the partially naked pictures of Kaila.

#2 Nature Babycare biodegradable diaper
I didn't take any pictures of Kaila in these diapers, I guess. I even saved one thinking that I would write a blog like this some day so I could put Kaila in it and take a picture... but forgot to tell Aaron not to use it, and it got used a long time ago. This diaper gets a higher rating because it's better for the environment. It's made from all natural materials, so it's good for baby and the world. The design for size 1 diapers was little green leaves all over. They worked surprisingly well, also. The shape of the diaper out of the packaging looks very rectangular, so I thought they would fit oddly on baby. However, when I put it on Kaila, they fit well and hugged her body. They were abosrbant and cushy and good for the environment. They are a little more expensive than other diapers, though.
This face means it's time for a diaper change soon..
#1 Pampers Swaddlers diapers with Dry Max
These diapers are the best. They're cushy and absorbant. That Dry Max feature is really great. You can tell it somehow sucks the moisture into the diaper and away from Kaila's skin. The elastic sides make the diaper fit really well, too. They also have Sesame Street characters on them which I really love. Especially the Cookie Monster ones.. so cute.
She's pretty much been wearing them since birth. The ones they have at the hospital were a little different than the ones we get in the store. The ones in the hospital had a little indicator strip that turned from yellow to green when she was wet.
Still haven't tried Luvs diapers, but I'm not really itching to try new diapers any more. I've heard they're a little less expensive than Huggies or Pampers. I don't always see them, though. I'll probably stick with the top three.
