For my birthday, we decided to go to Vegas for a little weekend getaway. We drove over after I finished work on Thursday, and first stop was the Wynn for the buffet. It was delightful. It was a perfect birthday dinner. They had crab legs split lengthwise so that no work was necessary.. butternut squash risotto which I love.. and green beans, my fave (among the 50 million other things). Just those three things made it perfect for me, though! A common occurrance throughout our stay which started with the entire Wynn staff was people commenting on Kaila's cuteness. People always comment on Kaila.. but in Vegas it was almost comical how many people were coming up to us and saying how cute she is.
After the Wynn buffet, we walked around the hotel a little and went back outside to wait for valet. We decided to go into the little waiting area to take a picture in the same spot Aaron and I took a picture about five years ago on our first trip to Vegas.
..and here it is. We were a lot younger and thinner then. hahaha but now we have the cutest baby ever!
the little kitchenette in our hotel room!
in her new swim suit
poolside with mama
lazing about in the lazy river
Kaila having a blast
did a little outlet shopping and someone passed out..
We did the Fremont experience, and the little one was getting sleepy.. she was in this position for the last maybe 20 minutes we were walking around until we got to the car. Much easier when she's docile like this than when she's constantly trying to climb out of the stroller.
new trick! I was brushing Kaila's hair one day, and she took the brush from me and started doing it herself :) now she does it any time she has a brush
we tell her, "oh pretty!" and she smiles at what a good job she's done hehe
heading out for some pool time!
we went to the pool on the second day, but realized that it wasn't half as fun as the lazy river!
back in the lazy river in front of the waterfalls..
everyone loved her floatie.. the shade was really great too
taking a ride on daddy's tube
tiki water sprinklers
she's having a good time, really..
sitting poolside while she eats lunch
another nap
a walk along the strip
taking pictures with the welcome to vegas sign
watching the Bellagio water show
took a walk through the cosmo hotel.. super plush in there and the BEST secret pizza spot!!
taking pictures while we wait for the elevator
last day in Vegas before we head home.. had ramen at a really good Japanese spot!
Bye, Vegas.. best Vegas trip ever! Aaron and I keep talking about how we want to go back because this trip was so fun.. we just did a lot of relaxing in the lazy river (and Kaila looked so cute in her floatie!), hit up a couple buffets (Wynn was awesome), Aaron did some gun shooting, I did some shopping, we took turns putting a $20 bill in the wheel of fortune slots (maybe 3 or 4 times total, we're not big gamblers.. haha) and ended up $10 ahead :) we saw downtown and chinatown a little which we haven't done together before. Great trip!
