Kaila is growing up so fast. She's almost 18 months old, which is ridiculous. She is such a funny girl and says so many things we've stopped trying to keep track. She literally says something new everyday because she just mimics what we say on a regular basis. Some of the recent fun Kaila-isms:
-- gave Kaila cereal this morning, and she said, "thank you mama." I almost cried.
-- with the Christmas season bringing lots of lights and decorations, we get a lot of, "ooohhhh wooooowww.. that's awesommme!! oh, cooool..."
-- she can finally say Steph's name, "Suff."
-- when Miso barks or gets into something, Kaila gets on him, "Mito. Stop it."
-- she also loves Bernard, who she calls, "waaaahhd." or more recently has transitioned to, "buh-waaaahhd."
-- still (a little to mama's embarassment) saying, "oh god."
-- as mentioned a previous entry, "beeb."
-- she can count to two. "wahhhhn, do."
She's getting pretty sassy, too. When she doesn't get her way, sometimes she likes to say, "noooooo!!" while other times she just repeats, "bankie, bankie, bankie!" because her blankie soothes her. She also likes to put her head and hands on the ground while looking backwards through her legs. Sometimes she'll just cry or throw something or hit someone. Not her most attractive moments.
She's getting a lot better at holding utensils and eating now, as we're letting her do it more often than not. For a while I think we were a little hesitant because she made such a mess, but you just have to let her make her mess so that she'll learn.
She has 13 teeth and counting now.. eight on top and five on the bottom.
She likes to play pretend, and she's good at it. She puts her baby cinderella to sleep by patting her back and saying, "shhhh" like we do to her. She says, "nai-nai" and covers her with her blankie and gives her kisses. She's a pretty good mama.. well, except that cinderella is squished between the couch cushions right now.. Kaila pretends to cook and eat things, and likes to let us try them. I haven't had anything bad yet, so maybe she's following in her daddy's cooking footsteps.
Never have I met a little girl so entertaining and lovable.
helping me put my lens cap back on my camera.. guess i'm done taking pictures for now.
