Kaila hasn't really done an easter egg hunt before, so I wanted her to go to one. The night before we went, I told Aaron we should have her practice at home. So, Aaron threw out some plastic eggs around the house and Kaila walked around and picked them up, and threw them on the floor again. I figured, meh, that's close enough.
The next morning we picked Grandma B up and went to Ocean Beach for some Easter festivities. I wanted to go to one that was laid back and small. Let's just say... Kaila wasn't the only one using her halloween pumpkin! haha It was a small event, but it was all free, and just a simple community event put on by the local rec center. They had the egg hunts divided up into age groups, and Kaila's age group, 0-2 was first. Since it was the first group, I think a lot of people didn't really know what was going on, and there were older kids hunting for eggs, and parents were hoarding eggs for their little ones.. Kaila was just looking around, wondering what all the commotion was about. She ended up with three eggs, which she was satisfied with :)
Ater egg hunting, we went over to the tattoo booth so Kaila could get an easter tattoo. We decided on a chick. It was a girl air brushing with stencils and it came out pretty cute. Next stop was popcorn. The smell of the buttery snack filled the air. Kaila ended up dropping half of hers on the ground, so Aaron went to get her another bag. Last stop was the goodie bag that had a coloring book, crayons, an easter pencil, and some candy in it. They had a jump castle, but I think Kaila would have been squished had she attempted to go in there with all the other kids. It was short and sweet, but fun.
forgot to get kaila an easter basket before I left work on friday, so i made one out of her halloween pumpkin and felt! haha

On Easter Sunday we went over to Ann and Trav's for linner (late lunch/early dinner). Aaron cooked up a pork loin with crispy skin and Ann's mom made a salad. Kaila and Landon played pretty hard the whole time we were there. By the time the sun began to set both kids were pretty soaked from playing with the water. Kaila got two really cute Easter baskets full of Elmo stuff :)
