Holy Crap!!

this has been quite a crazy and nerve racking ride but so exciting. i almost  cant believe that my wife and i are actually pregnant! when my wife came into the room that fateful day with her little urine soaked plastic stick my heart almost burst. wow a dad me a dad how crazy is that. i was so happy but at the same time very cautious. we made the dr appt and found out for sure thru another urine and then a blood test. i was ecstatic and bursting with fatherly joy and of course the manly pride of knowing the boys can swim. so we got to set up our first ob/gyn appt and had to wait an agonizing two weeks . we finally made it to the appt and waited some more in the office while everyone else seemed to go before us. we finally got to go into the room . i finally got to see what i have up until then only seen in movies. we got to answer questions about familial diseases and then the moment of truth. the end all be all of pregnancy tests. up until this moment i have been preparing for the worst, but all of the melted away when that little gummy bear popped up on the screen and the heartbeat rang loud and true at 150 beats per minute. it was such an amazing feeling to see this tiny life growing inside my wifes belly.  now we have to wait some more because we will be telling her fam when we go to hawaii in dec. i love this new adventure that i get to share with my wife and cant wait for the adventures we get to share with our little child.
