First Trimester: done and done!

Geez, I haven't updated in a month.  Lots has happened.  We told T & A about the baby.  It was nice to finally tell someone.. We figured it would be harder to hide it from them since we see them so much, and we were going on a cruise to Mexico with them.  We all ended up having sushi one night, and I said there might be a slight change in plans for the cruise... I wouldn't be drinking, and there would be a fifth wheel.  I pulled out the sonogram to show them.

That seems so long ago now... but not.  I'm always so torn.  I feel like the weeks are passing by so slowly, but at the same time, once a milestone hits, I can't believe how quickly it came!  I'm three months pregnant now.  12 weeks today!!  It's unbelievable.  Officially at the point where the nugglet should be settled and not so super fragile.  Now it's really hard to contain the news and not tell the fam, even though we're trying to tell them in person over Christmas.  Aaron and I were talking last night, and I said it still doesn't seem real.  He said it's probably because we haven't really told many people yet.  I agree.

We got back from the cruise to Ensenada last weekend. It was a fun time. The boat wasn't as big as the one we took to Europe a couple years ago with Co. I felt a little nauseous not only from the morning sickness but also because of the motion of the ocean. Put a damper on things sometimes, but at least I didn't spend the whole time in the bathroom. I've never been to Ensenada. We visited the blowhole and had street tacos and churros and fruit with chile and lime on it. We ate a lot on the ship too, since it was all you can eat and available all day. The food wasn't great, though. Overall it was still lots of fun.  Except that one time I woke up in the pitch blackness of our cabin (we got a room with no windows) and had to climb down from my top bunk (yes, we had bunk beds) to turn off the alarm on my phone that was going off.  I ended up with a huge gross bruise on my forearm, another bruise on my shin, and a bruised butt.  It was scary, and Aaron was trying to ask if I was ok, but I was just trying to turn the alarm off in my rudely awoken stupor.  T & A told us the next day that they thought it was a dream.  haha I'm fine now, and hopefully the baby is too.

I've been working a lot.  Today is the 9th day straight, and I'm finally off tomorrow.  Thanksgiving we should not have been open.  I maybe helped 15 people all day.  I went over to A's parents' house after and had a good time as usual.  Lots of food and board games is the constant at all Thanksgivings, and it's always a good time.  Possible pregnancy on her side as well perhaps?  Her cousin walked the walk, but didn't mention anything about a bun in the oven.  We'll know soon enough, I guess?

Next ob appointment is Friday, and I'm off the weekend.  Can't wait for that.
