Hiccupping munchkin

Visited the OB yesterday.  It was supposed to be a heartbeat-listening visit, but the PA couldn't find the heartbeat on the doppler.  Don't worry, folks.  She said this is normal for a 12-week visit.  She said by next visit we'll be able to hear it loud and clear.  "Munchkin" (as Casey, our PA calls it,) is usually good at hiding at 12 weeks.  So, she attempted to find a heartbeat for a while, and then said she would do an ultrasound instead.  She brought out their old ultrasound machine, and the picture was not as clear as the first machine they used at my 8-week visit.  It was still great to see the baby, though!  He/she was moving around so much!  I got a glimpse of his or her cute little profile and we saw the tiny hands and feet. The little nugglet also had the hiccups!  So cute.  What a great experience.  It seems a little more real now.. seeing the tiny hiccups and wiggles up on the screen.

She wasn't going to give us a print out of the ultrasound this time because the picture wasn't very clear, but she ended up getting a relatively decent picture.. you can see the femur (far right white line), the position of the head (left bump), hand (white smudge above head), and body.  hehe
