Long Post-Christmas Road Trip

I got an entire week off for Christmas this year, which has never happened.  I was off from Christmas eve until Jan 3.  So amazing.  It was a very full week and a half, though.  After going up to Long Beach and Norco for Christmas, we decided to take a little trip up to San Francisco to visit the SF parents.  It was a last minute decision, so we decided to drive.  Since we were driving, we decided to take the pup with us.  We had our concerns about both of them.. but hoped for the best. We left directly following her doctor appointment.

We made a little stop on the way to take a walk on a trail we found

Lots of nature for the baby to look at

Lots of nature for Miso to browse through

Snuggling up in the chilly weather

We made the one stop to walk the pup, and may have made another one or two stops, but not many.  We made a couple stops early on, but after the grapvine we just trudged the rest of the way without stopping.  I realized that I have mad mama skills.  I actually fed Kaila and changed her while Aaron was still driving!  Once I changed a doodoo diaper.  I'm totally tooting my own horn here, because I think it's a feat worth being commended for.  Kaila was a good girl, though.  She was pretty good for the trip.  She cried when she was hungry or needed to be changed, but other than that she didn't fuss much.  Oh, there was a little crying spell early in the day.. I think it was because she got her shots at the doctor.  After a long 9 hour drive, we stopped for dinner with the parents.   It was nice that we finally got to get out of the car (a little earlier than we expected to get there).  Miso got to walk around for a little bit, and Aaron took him to Petco and got some fancy doggy crossbone bags for poop clean up.

All the Chinese/Vietnamese waitresses loved her
